Changes in Virtual Status

Virtual students will be able to switch to Face-to-Face starting September 29, 2020. Parent/guardian must contact the school September 21 – September 23, to notify the school of their desire for their student to return to Face-to-Face. ***PLEASE do not call before September 21st.*** Any student that wants to stay virtual does not need to contact the school. 

Devices must be returned to the school prior to the student’s return. Devices can be returned on Friday September 25th 8:30-1:00 or Monday September 28th 8:30-1:00.

Students are to continue with their virtual learning up until the September 25th date. All assignments are expected to be up to date prior to returning to school.

 To switch, a parent or guardian must contact the Gilbert School office at 318-435-5961 concerning switching from Virtual to Face-to-Face. You may also email Mrs. Tarver at [email protected] We will need to know the name of your student(s) returning and the grade level.  Do not contact the teacher or the school board office.  Changes may only be made from the office. 

As of now, we do not have an update on changes to our hybrid schedule. Therefore, students may only attend on their assigned days. We are very excited to offer the opportunity for our students to return to in-person learning. For all our returning virtual students, make sure that you are up to date on the latest Covid-19 guidelines and our updated school policies.
